Lean Six Sigma Curriculum for Albuquerque High School Students

Lean Six Sigma proficiency will help students and professionals to have better job prospects, and although many people believe that only college students can benefit from this, they are wrong. High school students can reap many benefits from Lean Six Sigma, contrary to popular belief. This is thanks to what the methodology inculcates and how it helps them develop new skills while improving others, besides the focus on learning how to implement it. Anyone who is able to use LSS to improve projects, systems, and processes will benefit greatly and have better job opportunities while boosting their own personal growth.
We make it a priority to provide high school students with the opportunity to learn about the methodology at Lean Six Sigma Curriculum for Albuquerque High School Students of New Mexico.
We open our main belts and make sure that besides training, they can get certified in any of the belts available.
LSS is often misunderstood as a tool that can only be used by professionals or companies to improve processes. However, the concept and the idea of LSS have evolved over the past ten years. This is due to the recent implementations of LSS and inculcation in education.
Lean Six Sigma’s strength is its ability to be used by anyone who is qualified. This means that its true value lies in the person who can use it to improve the processes of any company or personal project.
High school students can get jobs with any company, regardless of their previous experience. As long as they are proficient in LSS, this is possible.
It allows students to learn skills that they may have forgotten in high school or are even unable to acquire due to their poor education.
LSS is not easy, but it’s not the most difficult. One of its perks is that you can improve your skills and add to your repertoire, so we promise that every student will find it quite likable to work with.
The methodology allows students to gain the knowledge and skills needed to manage everyday activities. It also helps them to understand what real-life work is like and why they need to be skilled in different areas.
High School Students Get Trained
In our company, only the yellow and green LSS Belts will be available. These are the only levels of the LSS methodology students are able to access since higher ones will require more experience and training in the methodology.
Nevertheless, the essentials are learned in these two:
- The yellow belt is more focused on personal skills. This belt is for students who want to build their confidence and manage their problems.
- The green belt is team-based. They learn to work together, how to problem-solve, and how leadership qualities can be developed.
Our team has more than ten years of experience with Sigma. We are confident that we will be the right experts for your students and kids, or maybe you are the one trying to find experts to start getting trained.
The training includes LSS concepts and principles. If you’ve never taken the yellow belt before, we want you to be prepared and ready to start with it. A green belt requires that you be trained on the first one, so it is impossible to jump to this one the right way.
Students should be able to understand the system and how to work in an LSS group after completing the training. They will be able to use the information they have acquired and the hours spent on it.
Just like regular courses, the belt will determine what topics and skills are covered. Don’t worry, though; each belt will prepare you for different roles, but a simple outline of each of them—so you have an idea—includes:
- Yellow Belt Outline.
The basics of data collection, terminology, and methodology will all be covered. Students will also be taught the basics of data collection and key principles.
- Green Belt Outline.
Lean 6 Sigma will become more accessible to them, and they will be able to use the methodology on a large scale. To help them reach their goals, we want to encourage teamwork as well as leadership.
Lean Six Sigma is not just a method. This belt training covers the key topics for implementation: DMAIC and SIPOC, Risk mitigation, Regression Analysis, and Problem-solving.
How This Process Works with Our Team
After completing their training, students can opt to obtain their certifications. These are the steps:
